Projects
The Rainforest Art Project works with schools, communities and hospitals creating specialized nature-based, healing arts programs that work within the needs of the children and the community. We implement 8 week, 10 week and ongoing programs complete with solid curricula based on national standards. We provide art instructors and all materials for after-school programs, in-school, and community programs. Most sessions are within a 2 hour time block and occur once weekly. The result of the program is a student/community created permanent mosaic that is installed at the schools or anywhere within the community. Within the hospital setting we create specialized workshops where families and patients can create ceramic pieces for their healing environment. We have long-term healing arts programs and short-term programs that are developed on a per project basis.
